The Club América player is close to sealing a move to the MLS side Portland Timbers.

Cabecita’ Rodríguez’s days are numbered at Club América. The Uruguayan, who left the capital club weeks ago, will be a new player at the Portland Timbers of MLS, as confirmed by Carlos Rodríguez Hernández of FOX Sports.
While we are yet to have an official announcement from either the player or the two clubs involved, everything points to an agreement being sealed between all involved and the Apertura 2023 champion will move away from Liga MX.

According to the journalist César Luis Merlo, Rodríguez will leave for Portland for approximately US$5 million and sign a 3-year contract with an option for one more year.
The current Portland Timbers squad – the team from Oregon’s largest city – is full of South Americans, with names such as Colombians Juan Mosquera, Santiago Moreno and Dairon Asprilla, Argentines Claudio Bravo and David Ayala, or Paraguayan Cristhian Paredes, all managed by Englishman Phil Neville.
