Milwaukee Bucks vs. Boston Celtics
The Boston Celtics are on a six-game winning streak after earning an easy 119-94 win over the Detroit Pistons on Monday. In those six games, the Celtics held their opponents to no more than 112 points. The Celtics held teams to 107 points or fewer in five of those six games.
The defense has been really good. However, the offense has been almost unstoppable recently. Boston has recorded at least 120.6 points per 100 possessions in each of their last six games. It’s no coincidence that the Celtics have won each game with that kind of offense.
Meanwhile, the Bucks have won two consecutive games, including a 140-129 win over the Suns without Giannis Antetokounmpo. Giannis is listed as questionable for tonight’s game. But funny enough, the Bucks have one of their best offensive outputs of the season without Giannis in the lineup. Bobby Portis and Damian Lillard stepped up to help the Bucks scored 138.6 points per 100 possessions. The team also shot an effective field goal percentage of 67% against the Suns.
However, Milwaukee’s defense is nowhere to be found. Over the last six games, the Bucks have allowed at least 119.6 points per 100 possessions in five of those games.
The Celtics will have no problem scoring against the Bucks. However, the Bucks have been very consistent offensively, minus the matchup against Sacramento on March 12. Therefore, I’m rolling with the Over 225.5 (-105).
Bet: Over 225.5 (-105)
Memphis Grizzlies vs. Golden State Warriors
The season was over for the Grizzlies before it even started. The team dealt with suspensions and injuries galore this season. With that, the offense has been absolutely terrible. In three of Memphis’ last five games, the Grizzlies have scored no more than 102.8 points per 100 possessions. They’ve also had a low effective field goal percentage and turned the ball over at a high rate.
The defense has also added turnovers at a high rate recently, but it’s still not consistent enough to be relied on.
They’ll take on the Golden State Warriors, who are making a playoff push. The Warriors aren’t very consistent, either. However, Golden State has done very well on the offensive glass lately. In the last three games, the Warriors have hauled in at least 30.4% of offensive rebounds.
Meanwhile, Golden State has allowed 128 and 119 points in its last two games to the Lakers and Knicks. They’ve struggled to force turnovers and have watched those two teams shoot an effective field goal percentage of at least 56%. It’s just unlikely the Grizzlies will match what the Lakers and Knicks did.
I’ll take the Warriors at -9.5 (-115).
Bet: Warriors -9.5 (-115)
