8 Stats which say Victory is not so certain for Mourinho’s men in all-London final.

With Chelsea’s FA Cup chances blown and their league form showing cracks, Spurs look good to snatch the cup.

Chelsea’s early-season brilliance is just about keeping them afloat at the moment.

They may be top of the Premier League but if recent results are anything to go by, Spurs look far from a write off.

With losses to Bradford, a disappointing draw to Burnley and all the more importantly, a 5 -3 loss to fellow finalists, Tottenham at the turn of the year, it appears the tactical genius of Jose Mourinho will only go so far.

Here are 8 statistics for a game in which Mauricio Pochettino’s side could well come away with the trophy.

1)      Harry Kane has netted 24 times in 37 appearances so far this season. He is 13/2 to draw first blood.

2)      Between them, the North London rivals have netted 19 times in the first 15 minutes of games in the league this season.

3)      Both sides have netted 11 goals in the last 15 minutes of games.

4)      Spurs are the competition’s top scorers with 12 goals to their name. In 60% of their League Cup encounters Spurs have netted over 2.5 goals. It is 11/4 for the winning margin to be 2 goals.

5)      Back in January, Chelsea buckled at White Hart Lane conceding 3 goals before half-time and scoring only 1. For a repeat of that, it’s 200/1.

6)      Blues’ defender Branislav Ivanovic has netted 31 times in his Chelsea career, including the goal that sent Mourinho’s side in to the final. He has the same amount of league goals that Fernando Torres scored for Chelsea. The Serbian is 6/1 to be an anytime goal scorer.

7)      Christian Eriksen has bagged the last goal in 5 league games this season. The Dane is 9/1 to be the last goal scorer.

8)      Both sides have enormous firepower up front. They have netted 162 times in all competitions between them. For both sides to score it’s 4/5.
